New Toy!

My friends, I bought a serger. It is amazing. I've already made my daughter two dresses and a skirt. Pillow covers for her bed, and this...

before... heavy, dark, filthy...


after... light, airy, pretty...


ugh. bad pictures. I'm also not done tacking up the new ones. However, if you could compare the light in my back room with the new curtains up, you would be amazed.

And, thanks to the serger, my seams are lovely and neat!

    What kind of serger did you get? I would love to see pics of the clothes you made, too.

    I'm going to buy a new sewing machine this summer and if you have any advice or suggestions, I welcome them.

    I got a Brother 1034D. I also got a Brother XL2600i sewing machine. I was getting both, so I went with less expensive machines, but they both were well reviewed! So far, I've been very happy with both.

    I'll take pics of the clothes soon- the next time she wears them. I need to post where I'm getting my tutorials, too.
